quarrelLeft in back yard by previous tenants, and only the Great Old Ones know how long. Moved into the garage by me shortly after move-in. Some rust on chassis and blade. Gas tank contains something that smells gas-like. When tipped to drain old oil, spilled several tablespoons of water from the muffler. This is after sitting in the garage 3-4 months. Killswitch bar stuck in the "on" position. Won't start.
Mower #2:
Was in the garage all along. No signs of weathering. Found the oil cap, but haven't figured out yet how to check level or drain old. Gas line leaks at tank end. Gas line, or the filter itself, leaks at fuel filter end. Throttle control is conspicuously absent. Won't start.
Landlord says both mowers work as far as he knows.
Neighbor says previous tenants never mowed the lawn.
Borrowed neighbor's mower to cut front yard. Will worry about back later.
