jots and tittles
Feb. 4th, 2013 07:55 pmI use Oxford commas.
I don’t double-space after periods.
I never use apostrophes to pluralize, not even things like “the 80s”. I always use “’s” to pluralize singular forms, even things like “Mars’s” and “Jesus’s”.
I usually forget to use the four-dot ellipsis when appropriate.
When printing, I write “1” as a line and “I” with endcaps. I put a crossbar through my Zs so they don’t look like 2s, and I situationally write my lowercase Ls in cursive to avoid confusion with the aforementioned 1s and Is. On the other hand, I never got into the practice of writing lowercase Ys as a double hook to avoid resembling Xs and I never learned to write my Os and 0s clockwise so the sloppy ones resemble 6s less.
